Abstract '80s

Hi guys, another tape mani for you today! Oh, how I love stationery tape. It's so perfect for making geometric shapes, which I happen to love too. ;-)

After (re)discovering the layering possibilities of sheer polishes with my recent springy stripes, I used the same technique in this mani. My base color (H&M Polish Me Happy) was applied the day before, so I could immediately place tape strips on top to form the mint green shapes with Orly Ancient Jade. When that had dried I once again used tape to make the pink triangles with Color Club Warhol and I just love how new shapes are formed where Ancient Jade and Warhol overlap. Speaking of Warhol, it's such a great polish for this layering technique. It's sheer, but covers very evenly and the color is so unbelievably bold! (Also take a look at layered Warhol together with its neon friends in this crackle mani.) And that's it for this post, I hope you enjoyed it. :-)

  4. I am in love with this mani! I have been thinking of a neon mani with grey and triangles was the way I was going but not overlapping like this. I think some of the Misa neons may be quite sheer so I might try this out! Thanks for the inspiration! x

I'm trying to start using tapes in nail art, but it just wont work so well when I try. English isn't my native language so I'm not sure if the stationery tape is the tape that is usually in office? Is it like the "regular tape" :p

And yeah, tutorial would be nice :) I allready did the cloud desing inspired by you. So I love your tutorials! You can check the cloud mani in my blog if you like :)

  52. Are you aware that your photos are used without credit i.e. in Instagram. I noticed that there's a user who says that all of her photos are from weheartit, but still most of the ppl thinks that those photos are hers and asks how to do those manis. I've commented an linked your blog in there but none seems to notice that! Maybe that's not big deal to you, but i really love your blog and i'm furious that some.. skank uses your photos without credit! Just wanted to tell ya. (--:
